You have all heard the rumors about Bob Armey being in a speedo.  It's rumor no more.  Just check out this picture and if its too much for you, please divert your eyes.  It's not for the faint of heart. And speaking of hearts, as part of my 2010 fundraising, I'm auctioning off a date with this "hunk of man" for Valentines day.  Now granted, this picture was taken a long, long, long, long, time ago, but the resemblance is still there (to some extent) and Bob will keep you entertained  for hours with his ponderings and musings.  He will also explain to you why he pushed down the guy who is next to him in this picture.  Everyone/ Anyone ( for God sake, someone) is encouraged to bid.  Must be over 18.  This is a fundraiser.   Bob states he still has the same speedo and the date can be with or without the speedo. I'm not sure that's a winning proposition.  The bidding will end 2-11-2010.  You can either openly bid on the forum or email your bid and I will keep it confidential if you choose.  We already have a opening bid for $25.00

I bid $35.  I want to go on a date with Speedo Bobo!

The date will be for dinner and drinks at The Palms on Feb 13th. I will more than likely have the speedo in my pocket because if I wore it in public, the picture  would end up on the nightly news and I would end up in jail.

Why would anyone bid on dinner with an argumentative, non-compliant, boisterous and growling bear-of-a-guy like Bob?  What can I say?  It is a great cause and I love the Palms!   Also, I admit, I've discovered that Bob is really more teddy bear than grizzly bear - although quite an obnoxious teddy bear at times.  I bid $75. 

Am I the only one that would prefer that the Speedo stay in his pocket?  (Eww) 

CLARIFICATION:  the "eww" is in regards to the thought of passing an old, well-used Speedo around the table at dinner, and certainly NOT in regards to the very fine and appropriate use of the Speedo in the photo above.

Since Naomi has thrown her hat in the ring, I'm going to need a fresh batch of nerve pills. :-)
